standard FBA = ANÁLISIS FUNCIONAL DEL COMPORTAMIENTO Y EL CURRICULUM VB-MAAP

In PA, a standard FBA form is used in public schools. Search "pattan fba" for the details of what an FBA in PA consists of. An FBA should contain a full description, data, and analysis of all problem behavior. I believe it should also include an assessment of a student's language and learning skills and barriers to learning (i.e. VB-MAPP). An FBA should lead into a Behavior Intervention Plan ....search "pattan bip" which outlines what the data collection should be and what measures should be used by staff to prevent and treat problem behavior. On going consultation by the person who wrote the plan is almost always needed in order to assure success. I think you should speak with your attorney about getting an Independent FBA done.....I have seen this requested and granted as a type of an Independent Educational Evaluation.
